The list includes information on reported drug shortages that marketing authorisation holders have reported to the IMA. The packages on this list are expected to be unavailable in pharmacies for certain period of time, usually the period is listed in this list. See definition on drug shortages.
The list also includes advice for patients, doctors and pharmacies for each case as well as reported reason for drug shortage.
Attention must be drawn to the fact that companies are required to report shortages to the IMA and sometimes these shortages last longer or shorter than expected. In some cases patients might never notice any shortages at all.
