The condition for the sale of prescription drugs in Iceland is, among other things, that the Icelandic Medicines Agency has approved maximum wholesale and retail prices and that information about the medicine is published in the Icelandic Medicine Price Catalogue. Publication must be requested by filling out a form.
Request for publication of new medicines and re-publication in the Medicine Price Catalogue takes effect on the 1st of each month.
