Minimum service from July 18th to July 29th

The services that are mostly affected are as follows:

  • Applications concerning marketing authorisations   
    Applications submitted on or after, July 15th 2022, will be received on August 2nd.
  • RMS Slot requests for applications via Decentralised Procedures   
    Requests submitted on or after, July 15th 2022, will be received on August 2nd. The Icelandic Medicines Agency strives to answer requests within two weeks but applicants may expect a reply within one month from submission.
  • Zero day procedures    
    Requests for zero day procedures submitted for review on or after July 15th 2022, will be received on August 2nd 2022.
  • Exemptions from Icelandic labelling    
    Requests submitted on or after, July 15th 2022, will be received on August 2nd, 2022, unless they are urgent.
  • Educational Materials     
    Educational materials submitted for review on or after July 15th 2022, will be received on August 2nd 2022.
  • Applications for clinical trials   
    Requests submitted on or after, July 11th, will be received on August 15th. 
  • Applications for importation of controlled substances 
    Applications are not accepted from July 18th till July 29th. Last day for submitting applications before minimum service period is July 11th. Urgent matters (emergency) will be handled as soon as possible.
  • Applications for certificates of a pharmaceutical products (CPP)     
    Applications are not accepted from July 11th till August 12th. Last day for submitting applications before minimum service period is July 8th.

Please note that the IMA is closed on the following days during the summer due to Bank holiday:

  • Thursday May 26th
  • Monday June 6th
  • Friday June 17th
  • Monday August 1st
